Vibe Check #26 (November 2025)
Hello and welcome to the 26th edition of our Vibe Check for November, where we talk about anything and everything dealing with anime, Japan, Japanese culture, or anything that happens on the top of our heads for the month. Hope you have a happy reading~
Check #1: Dodgers Epic Victory
As a sports fan, I haven't fully sat down and watched an entire baseball game. Not even a college baseball game... However, the hype of Game 7 for the MLB World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays made me sit down on my couch and watch the entire thing. Everyone from America, Canada, and even Japan has dropped everything to watch the game.
From the first pitch to the final out, everything was amazing to see, but in my opinion, the Los Angeles Dodgers got extremely lucky on their win because the Toronto Blue Jays missed golden opportunities to end the game, and the Dodgers took advantage of their golden opportunities.
The home runs from the 9th and 10th innings, and the nemesis aura of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, were the two main reasons why the Blue Jays collapsed for the entire game. Another opinion would be that the Dodgers were just that strong, and as the saying goes, "To become the champions, you gotta beat the champions."
Looks like the next MLB season is going to be a good one!
Check #2: Thanksgiving Nostalgia
Thanksgiving is mainly the time for family and football, but because my family and I are not that into football at the moment (the games that were on Thanksgiving weren't really the greatest), we played the Nintendo Wii almost all night.
The Nintendo Wii was one of the OG of modern gaming since it's the only system that use motion to play. So because of that, my family and I are constantly playing Wii Sports Resort. For people that doesn't know about Wii Sport Resort, it's mainly a popular Wii game that was a successor to the OG Wii Sports.
Because there are a lot of boys wanting to play the game, we mostly play the basketball pickup game more since that's the only sport they play a lot compared to even bowling and swordplay. Whenever I play a basketball pickup game, because I played the Wii a lot more than my cousins, there were times that I didn't look at the screen when I played and still won. I just go for two pointers and wait for them to miss. Surprisingly, the only time I get to watch the game is whenever I shoot threes (not that good enough to shoot threes without looking).
Almost all my cousins, aunts, and uncles thought I was cheating whenever I won the game, even at the buzzer-beater. Fun competition is the best since it makes us come together and have a great time with each other. But in all honesty, I would still win no matter how many times they practiced.

That's all for this month's Vibe Check for November! Tune in next month for the final Vibe Check for 2025 in December to see what's been going on! Happy reading~!
